Woman Pleads Guilty To Charges In Elizabeth Smart Case
Today, Wanda Eileen Barzee plead guilty to federal charges stemming from the 2002 abduction of the Utah teenager, Elizabeth Smart.

Today, Wanda Eileen Barzee plead guilty to federal charges stemming from the 2002 abduction of the Utah teenager, Elizabeth Smart.

Barzee has agreed to aid prosecution in the state and federal cases against her husband, Brian David Mitchell.

Brett Tolman, U.S. attorney for Utah, stated that Barzee plead guilty to kidnapping and unlawful transportation of a minor.

Authorities have recommended a 15 year prison sentence for Barzee in exchange for her cooperation in the case against her husband.
