The call provides a weekly update on local response and planning activities to the H1N flu.
It also serves as a reminder of the personal responsibilities the public can take to stay healthy during flu season.
According to Director Dennis Chaney, each state is notified each Monday during their weekly allotment of H1N1 vaccine.
"We have six different vaccines," said Chaney. "So, when Kentucky gets notified on Monday of a certain allotment, and that allotment is pushed out to the counties. Then we're able to plan clinics and get the vaccine available to providers in the area."
Saturday's clinic drew almost 4,000 people.
Another clinic is planned for Monday, November 23, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. by appointment only, for the entire Barren River Health District.
