Christmas is still weeks away, but it's prime-time for holiday shopping.

Some early holiday shoppers are already tackling their Christmas lists.

A mother-daughter duo from Tompkinsville, Kentucky drove to Bowling Green to knock out some Christmas shopping.

"Trying to get a start on Christmas shopping, we've found a few good deals," said Leslie Evitts, an early Christmas shopper.

Connie Savage, her mother, has gotten a few things off her list already. "I always buy my daughter and son-in-laws p-j's for them to wear on Christmas night, so it's a special treat!"

But she won't get all her shopping done tonight, so she plans to go out on black Friday while keeping her cool with the crowds.

"Im not a big crowd person to fight cause I don't like to see them get all upset over each other at Christmas. You know, take your time and enjoy it."

If you can't stand shopping on black Friday and fighting the crowds-- there is an alternative--online shopping. A lot of people are doing it these days--it's really convenient but it does have downsides.

"I think coming into the store you get the personal contact, especially with electronics you can get somebody there to answer your questions," said Brandy Stinson, the executive over the sales floor at Target.

And shopping early may not save you as much money. If you see good deals now, Stinson says you're going to see even better sales black Friday.

"Notoriously black Friday is a day for deep discounts at most retailers but yeah we've got some good deals in store."

No matter when where or how you shop, you've got just a few weeks before the holidays arrive.

"Gosh I've got a lot more to go! I've got a lot of family," said Savage, "mom, mother in law, sisters and brother and nieces and nephews and great nephews, and nieces and got a lot of family! I've got alot of family and kids to shop for and I love that!"

Stinson also says stores like Target have pre-black Friday sales going on now, with more discounts starting mid-week.

Once black Friday rolls around, sales get even better!
