Bowling Green City schools start this Thursday. Many of you may have a hard time believing that the start of school is just around the corner because its seems like school just let out. In fact some say the summer vacation is too short while others seem to think it doesn't start soon enough.
Michelle McClough has been teaching for 10 years and remembers the days when school didn't start until late August. Now she says schools start too early. She says sometimes the kids have a hard time coming back when county schools are still on break.
Dr. John Settle, Superintendent of Bowling Green schools, says when schools start earlier though that allows for longer breaks. He says those breaks are very important. This is the fourth year Bowling Green schools have started in early August.
