Questions are being answered about Warren County’s newest elementary school. The school’s principal is named and a public meeting is set to get underway for parents.
Melissa Stephanski has been hired as principal of Plano Elementary School.
Plano will open as the county’s 13th elementary school in August 2007.
Plano Elementary is supposed to alleviate overcrowding at both Rich Pond and Cumberland Trace Elementary.
Stephanski has 12 years of experience, earning her undergraduate degree at U.K. and her masters, rank one and principal certifications at WKU.
Parents and students learned more about who will attend Plano Elementary at the first of two public meetings being which was held April 30. The board of education also invited parents to take a look at the drawn boundaries for redistricting. Parents had the opportunity to voice their concerns, which will be taken back to the board of education. The board will hold a final vote on redistricting on May 14.
