Following an extensive application and site review process, the center joined more than 450 other organizations across the country, in being accepted to the National Children's Alliance.

Serving the ten counties of the Barren River Area Development District, the center is one of 15 children's advocacy centers in the Commonwealth, providing critical services to victims of child sexual abuse.

"There are a thousand centers in some form of development across the United States," said Dawn Long, BRACAC Executive Director. "There's roughly 450 that have reached the highest level of recognition. So, we are thrilled that our center has reached that level."

Long says the center could not have achieved this level of standard, without the help of Warren County's multi-disciplinary team, which assisted in the evaluation process.
