While plans are in the works to give downtown Bowling Green a facelift, a new plan unveiled Monday focuses on giving the district more face-time.
A group of local business owners have formed the Downtown Merchants Association. The DMA will focus on advertising and marketing downtown businesses.
You'll soon be seeing billboards and brochures luring visitors to the downtown area. Currently, the new group is comprised of 35 businesses. Organizers anticipate the number of members to grow.
The DMA will work closely with the Downtown Redevelopment Authority. The authority has been instrumental in securing thousands in Renaissance Grants and recently announced a $5 million loan agreement with local banks.
