Community Education has been serving the citizens of Bowling Green and Warren County since 1973 and this week it officially opened its first office building.

The Bowling Green Warren County Community Education was the first of its kind in Kentucky.

It now serves 1,100 school-aged students daily along with hosting adult enrichment classes and volunteer training.

Executive Director Debi Wade Jordan says it's been saving every penny for the last 36 years for its own building.

"What we do is primarily in the community, but this new office gives us the ability to really have a place to set some things up and be even more productive for the citizens," says Jordan.

The new 4,500 square foot building is located on Westen Avenue and will help Community Education reach its mission to facilitate community collaboration and to provide needed services at low cost to community members.
