Western Kentucky University Football Player Arrested

Bad news for Western Kentucky football. One of their star players is arrested.

All-Gateway Conference defensive back, Marion Rumph, was arrested on Park Row in downtown Bowling Green, Ky., at 1:41 a.m. on May 4, 2007. The senior-to-be is charged with public intoxication and using someone else's operator's license as his own.

Police said Rumph got into a verbal argument and had bloodshot eyes, was unsteady on his feet,and smelled strongly of alcohol.

He was released from jail on a $1,000 unsecured bond at 10:41 a.m.

Rumph led WKU with 87 tackles this past season.

He will red-shirt this year.
