May 6-12, 2007, is National Pet Week. In observance, Snodgrass Veterinary Medical Center is holding their annual Petting Zoo.

There will be animals aplenty, including: horses, llamas, Alpacas (cousins to llamas, only smaller), Belgian horses, peacocks, ducks, geese, turkeys, snakes, mini-donkeys, baby mini-horses, calves, puppies, and goats.

There will also be free horse rides, a free dog training demonstration courtesy of Cumberland Canine Training Centers, free balloon animals, inflatable games for the kids and free face painting.

Culver's Restaurant will be selling food like pizza, snowcones, popcorn, hot dogs and drinks.

And, of course, everyone is encouraged to bring their own pets.

Snodgrass Veterinary Medical Center is located at 6000 Scottsville Road and they can be reached at (270) 781-5041.
