Governor Fletcher has appointed a Scottsville, Ky., woman as Family Court Judge for the 49th Judicial Circuit, Division Two.
Martha B. Harrison will serve in Allen and Simpson counties.
Harrison is an attorney for the Harrison and Goin Law Firm.
She received her Bachelor’s degree from Mary Washington College, a Master’s degree from Western Kentucky University and a law degree from the University of Louisville.
The judgeship was created by the 2006 General Assembly in an effort to reduce caseload backlog.
Harrison will serve until the seat is filled by the general election this November 2007.
