The May 7, 2007, blood and marrow drive for Mya Hendrson ended with great results.
At the end of the day 572 people register with the National Marrow Donor Program, and 168 units of blood were donated with 86 of those being first time donors.
"Thanks to everyone for all of their support for both the blood drive and the benefit," said Stephen Epley, Mya's Miracle Blood/Marrow Drive chairman. "With the support of the community, the Kentucky Blood Center, The American Red Cross and the WKU Alumni Center we are already working to make this an annual event and setup a schedule for next year."
"Wow, thank you so much from myself and the rest of the committee members," Epley said.
