As part of National Nursing Home Week, nursing homes throughout the area have special activities planned.
The American Health Care Association designated May 13, 2007, through May 19, as a week to "Treasure Our Elders."
For the past four years, WBKO's Gene Birk and Amy Bingham have been invited to call BINGO numbers and this year the special activity took place on May 14, at Hopkins Nursing Home in Woodburn, Ky.
Gene and Amy are just two of many in the community who came out to help. Myla Thomas and Scooter Davis from WBVR were on hand, as well as Warren County Sheriff Jerry “Peanuts” Gaines, Woodburn Police officer Audrey Spies and many more.
