Lyme disease is on the rise. Last year the Centers for Disease Control reported the highest level of Lyme disease ever. They reported a 40 percent increased compared to last year.
The disease is mainly carried by ticks. Health officials say the high numbers are alarming since people can lower their risk of getting the disease by using inset repellent and promptly removing ticks from the body.
