Operations have resumed at an Ohio County chicken processing plant that was abruptly shut down last week.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture inspected Perdue chicken processing plant in Cromwell, Ky., one week ago from Thursday and suspended operations.
A USDA spokesman told WBKO the concerns involved documentation and procedural problems. Perdue was given 72 hours to submit a plan to address the issue.
On Sunday night the plant was allowed to begin processing chickens into meat.
Perdue employs more than 1,200 workers.
It recently provided specialty cut chicken breast for a meal served to Queen Elizabeth during her visit to the Kentucky Derby.
