If you’re heading to Lake Cumberland this holiday weekend officials want you to pay attention to which ramps will be open.
Ramps at General Burnside Island State Park and Lake Cumberland State Resort Park have been reopened. Burnside has five lanes for launching boats and the state resort park has three.
Currently the governor’s office for local development is coordinating the extension of 29 boat ramps.
The ramps extensions are necessary because of the lower lake water level. The water had to be lowered to work on Wolf Creek Dam.
