Simpson County Justice Center

An area city will be joining the ranks of other cities like Bowling Green with a separate justice center. In early June the Simpson County Justice Center will be opening.

The $7 million center will house everything justice related. It's twice the size of the old courthouse, which was built in 1882. Judge-Executive, Jim Henderson, says with a growing caseload they needed to expand.

The project is completely state-funded through a separate judicial courthouse renovation fund. Employees are expected to move into the new place in June.

After that all county government related work will be housed in the courthouse.
