Water bills for Warren County residents who do not live within the Bowling Green city limits are going up.
On May 29, 2007, the fiscal court passed the second reading of an ordinance, setting fees for the Joint Storm Water Sewer Agency.
Beginning July 1, residents will see a $4 increase each month on their water bills. The non-residential fee will be $10-a-month. BGMU and the Warren County Water District will collect these fees.
The county said they are needed to finance the federally mandated phase-two Storm Water Management Program.
People who wish to appeal the fee may contact Jack Wright, the Storm Water Management director.
If they are not satisfied with that outcome they may then appeal to the fiscal court.
