A new discount card that's aimed to help people pay for prescription drugs is causing some headaches. Recently, Medicare users have been getting pamphlets in the mail letting people choose between different discount cards Medicare is sponsoring. The problem is there are about fifteen to twenty different cards to choose from, all with various benefits.
Pharmacy owner, Steve Sheldon, tells his customers to see if the card allows for a 90 day supply and how much of a discount if offered. For more information on the card, call 1-800-MEDICARE (633-4227) or log onto www.medicare.gov.
