Multiple police agencies were involved in the capture of a Monroe County inmate who walked away from work release.
The Barren County Sheriff's Department said Harold W. Page was working around the Monroe County courthouse on May 29, 2007, when he stole a truck parked on the square.
Page led authorities on a high-speed chase on Highway 249 into Barren County, where spike strips were deployed near Trojan Trail. Page ran over the stop sticks but was later forced off the road by Barren County Sheriff Chris Eaton.
After being boxed in by multiple cruisers, Page attempted to flee but was subdued by officers. He's back in jail facing numerous charges in Monroe County and several felonies in Barren County.
