Butler County receives over $69,000 in emergency road funding.
The project will replace a badly deteriorated pipe on Caney Ford Road at the Muddy River crossing.
In applying for emergency funding, county officials reported the crossing would soon be impassable without proper repairs.
The road serves local businesses and residents as well as commuters traveling to and from neighboring Warren and Logan Counties.
The funding from the Transportation Cabinet covers 80 percent of the total project cost.
