Governor Ernie Fletcher has directed that flags at all state office buildings be lowered to half-staff in honor of Pfc. Joshua Moore.
20-year-old Joshua Moore of Russellville died of wounds suffered when the Humvee he was driving struck an improvised explosive device.
Moore was assigned to the U.S. Army's 1st Battalion, 18th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Schweinfurt, Germany.
Flags will remain at half-staff until sunset on the day of Moore’s funeral, which has not yet been determined.
Moore's parent say they are using a CD Joshua put together just in case something were to happen to him, that contains instructions for his funeral.
It includes a list of pallbearers and what songs are to be played.
They say they've been told by the military that his body will arrive back between Wednesday and Friday of next week.
