Simpson County youth have a new option on where to spend their free time.
The Boys and Girls Club of Franklin-Simpson held its grand opening on Saturday.
Within the new building is a 63-hundred square foot gym, pool tables, as well as activities such as foosball, ping pong, and air hockey.
Boys and Girls Club officer Stan England says the facility is much needed.
"I think this is something the community wanted for a long time. There was so much dedication from the board and state for the facility. The kids will benefit just tremendously", says England.
The facility will also hold classrooms, recreational areas, and a computer lab and is designed for children ages six to 18.
There is a membership fee of $12 dollars per year.
Summer hours will be 7:30 to 5:00 through the week and 9:00 until 3:00 on Saturdays.
