Two of Russellville's long time city council members will not be moving onto the general election in November. City leaders suspect the two incumbents were not re-elected after an ongoing dispute with the Electric Plant Board. The two men, Ken Barrett and Howard Wren, were two of the three council members running who had been voting to oust Electric Plant Board members.
A record twenty one people ran for city commission. The two men who lost in the primary will serve the rest of their term until the end of the year.
