No Survivors in Lake Michigan Plane Crash

There appears to be no survivors in a plane crash involving six members of an organ transplant team.

Captain Bruce Jones of the U.S. Coast Guard said human remains have been found in Lake Michigan where the plane went down on June 4, 2007.

Two surgeons, two donor specialists and two pilots were aboard the plane.

The University of Michigan Medical Team was bringing unspecified organs for transplant to a patient in Michigan.

Within five minutes of its departure, the pilot declared an emergency and requested a return to Mitchell International Airport, but the plane dropped off radar screens just after the pilot made the request.
