It's that time of year when we brave the cold weather to enjoy area Christmas parades.
Many are planned over the next couple of weeks.
On Friday, December 4th Smiths Grove held its parade and many adults in attendance say they remember watching the parade in Smiths Grove when they were younger.
It's a chance to show your holiday spirit and spend time with your family whether you watch the parade or participate.
"It's a good time for us to be out. The whole family. Kind of try to get into the Christmas spirit. The girls like to throw the candy out. Gets us in the mood and gives us the opportunity to get out and get our bones chilled a little bit," said Wes Milliken, parade participant.
Six area parades are being held Saturday including Bowling Green's at 9:30 a.m.
