Congressman Brett Guthrie joined a handful of Republican representatives for a GOP press conference on job growth.

Guthrie who represents Kentucky's 2nd District in Washington was part of the Republican study committee with Minority Whip Eric Cantor of Virginia as fellow RSC members of the freshman class who are small business owners.

Congressman Guthrie called on the President to work in a bipartisan manner to put Americans back to work.

He said American workers are vital to the country's economy and thinks that higher taxes could lead to more loss of business and jobs.
