One-hundred and fifteen area teams walked to end the battle against cancer Friday night.
Some walked in support of loved ones and others in memory of their own struggles, but everyone walked to raise money to help find a cure for the disease that affects millions.
Joyce Light is a South Central Kentucky teacher who won her fight with cancer against all odds.
She sees the Relay for Life event as a huge support system.
"If you look over at the survivor tent we have very few empty chairs there and that's what it's all about...the survivors, and you never know when it may touch your life", says Light.
