Two favorites of summer-time in South Central Kentucky are yard sales and fish fries, so the Human Rights Commission decide to put the two together.
The Junk for Justice yard sale and fish fry was held on Saturday, June 9, 2007 at the Parker Bennett Center.
There were many items for sale at the event and it was all for a good cause.
"I've been very blessed in my life and it's my way of giving back to the community and helping those who maybe weren't as fortunate as I was", says Human Rights Commission Board Member Robert Deane.
All proceeds from the event will go to outreach and education programs provided by the Human Rights Commission.
The commission held Junk for Justice to help offset the recent cuts to the program by the Warren County government.
The commission will celebrate 41 years of service to the city and county on August 1st, 2007.
