A cave city man pleads guilty to criminal abuse this week.
Derick Steven Wilson made his plea in Barren Circuit Court.
Wilson was charged with first-degree criminal abuse and indicted in February for abusing his infant daughter.
Karen Davis, the Commonwealth Attorney in the case, recommended a seven year sentence for Wilson.
She also asked that Wilson be considered a violent offender which would force him to serve at least 85 percent of his sentence.
Sentencing has been scheduled for July 16th.
