Bowling Green Police Officers were among those in attendance on Sunday at the fallen Powell County Officer's Chief Funeral.
The BGPD Motor Guard and Color Guard represented the department as they showed their respect and honor for a fellow officer.
Officer Barry Pruitt says it's important to do this, especially after the loss of Bowling Green Master Police Officer David Whitson on October 31, 2006.
"I think since the loss of our officer, it hits a little closer to home and it's more personal for us, so we were more than happy to send someone up there because I know how we felt when we got just an outpouring from law enforcement agencies from all over the place", says Officer Pruitt.
Officer Pruitt added there is a bond between all officers and it is especially important to honor those who have fallen in the line of duty.
