A new study suggests that the H1N1 flu is less contagious than other viruses that have caused major international outbreaks.

Specialists at imperial college london and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say the odds of someone being infected by another person in their household is about 1 in 8.

But children are twice as susceptible as adults. About 60% of H1N1 cases have been in children.
