One man is dead after fire in Hopkins County Wednesday morning.

Around 11 A.M. authorities responded to a fire at 111 Jessie Street in Nortonville.

Seventy-seven-year-old Richard Dillingham was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hopkins County Coroner.

The State Medical Examiner's Office in Madisonville says Dillingham died as a result of smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police and the State Fire Marshal's Office but foul play is not suspected.
