Kentucky State Police are investigating the death of a Hart County Jail inmate.
Sixty-six-year-old Buddy Rowland of Knightstown Indiana was pronounced dead Sunday at the University of Louisville hospital. He was arrested for DUI early Saturday morning while driving southbound on I-65 near Munfordville.
Rowland told authorities he had been in a fight with his brother and was taken to Caverna hospital for treatment. Upon his release Saturday night, Rowland was transported to the Hart County Jail.
Sometime early Sunday the Hart County Jailer says Rowland blacked out and fell. He was taken back to Caverna Hospital then transferred to U of L hospital where he died a short time later.
His cause of death is under investigation.
