Barren County Man Dies in One-Vehicle Accident

A Barren County resident was killed today in a single-vehicle accident.

According to the Barren County Sheriff's Office the accident occurred on Herbert Turner road near Park City.

The victim was 43-year-old Barry Hughes, a resident of Barren County.

Hughes lost control of his pickup on the snow and ice-covered road before hitting a tree.

He was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The sheriff's office continues to investigate the cause of the accident.
