Those earning minimum-wage will have a little more padding in their pockets starting on June 26, 2007.
Minimum wage raises 70 cents from the current $5.15-an-hour to $5.85-an-hour.
Two future increases are scheduled to $6.55-an-hour about a year from now and $7.25 in 2009.
The legislation puts Kentucky in compliance with the federal minimum wage when it changes.
Tip credit allowances for the restaurant industry and other tipped professions remain unchanged.
