Central City police arrested 38-year-old Timothy J. Holler Tuesday, and charged him with the stabbing murder of his girlfriend, 37-year-old Juanita Goodall.
Police were called to the couple's rental house on Center Street near downtown Central City at 9:58 p.m. on Monday night. When they arrived, officers found Goodall lying on the floor of the bedroom with a single stab wound to the chest. She was taken to the Muhlenberg Community Hospital where she was pronounced dead less than an hour later.
Investigators found a 12-inch dagger they believe is the murder weapon and charged Holler with the murder. Police say they believe the stabbing was the result of a domestic disturbance.
Neighbors say the couple moved down from Indiana and into the house less than a month ago, and report the couple was seen talking to neighbors on their porch hours before the incident.
Holler will remain in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center without bond until his next court date on June 17.
