When it comes to working on the farm, the Kentucky Department of Agriculture wants everyone to put safety first. They want to instill good safety habits at a young age. Today more than one hundred kids attended the Progressive Farm Safety Day.
One of the biggest classes they sponsored was the A.T.V. course they have every year. According to the state, the number of A.T.V. deaths outnumbered any other type of farm accident last year. Besides the A.T.V. safety, kids also attended chemical safety classes, alcohol awareness seminars, and fishing classes.
