Even before ground is broken and the first nail is hammered in this year's St. Jude Dream Home is already underway.

Today the organization kicked off the campaign with its "Bricks and Sticks" event introducing the dream home and sharing a sneak peek with sponsors and vendors.

The house to be built by Darrel Sweets in the September Lakes Subdivision in Alvaton will break ground next month.

But the excitement surrounding the campaign has already begun.

"This is the kickoff, yeah. It's right around the corner. We're shooting for an August 29th giveaway this year. This will be the first step in getting everything going with the house. We do need all the donations we can get, as far as supplies, materials and labor."

If you'd like to help with this year's dream home officials say they won't turn anyone away.
