Britain’s home secretary, Jacqui Smith said police have searched at least 19 locations in their investigation of a series of failed car-bomb attacks.
Authorities have also arrested three more people near Glasgow, bringing the number of suspects in custody to eight. Two of the suspects are doctors from Iraq and Jordan.
British officials have said they are hunting for what they call an Al-Qaida linked network they believe to be behind the attacks.
Smith urged Britons to remain united during this time.
