By Stephanie Stang |

Summer vacation is officially underway for students all over Kentucky, and many of you are probably looking for ways to keep the kids busy. All this week, WBKO will be taking a look at different places around south-central Kentucky where you and the kids can spend the day.

Beech Bend Amusement Park

Beech Bend is the top tourist attraction in Bowling Green. The amusement park brings in people from not only Kentucky but Tennessee and Indiana. The park attracts one hundred thousand people a year. This past year, they added to the park with $3 million in renovations. They now have four more rides and a water park.

The park closes the third week of August but is still open on the weekends until the end of September. Admission is generally $8 for adults. For unlimited rides and to get into the park, it's $20. Parking is always free. For more information, log onto
