Officials with Western Kentucky University announced the WKU Real Estate Corporation has purchased property for the Clinical Education Complex.

The CEC will house five programs including: the Child Development Center, Kelly Autism Center, Acquired Brain Injury Resource Program, Family Counseling Center and the Communications Disorders Clinic.

Susan Vitale is the Chairperson for the CEC. Vitale says, "We do not, at this point and time, have a comprehensive place that we can find assessment, go in to therapy, and receive counseling that we need."

The clinic will be at the corner of 14th and Adams Streets. So far, $500,000 has been raised. Another $700,000 will be needed for the renovation of the building, and $1,000,000 to operate.
