Kentucky House Adjourns Special Session

House lawmakers have adjourned without taking any action during a special legislative session.

Governor Ernie Fletcher called the session hoping lawmakers would look at several issues including domestic partner benefits at state universities and exploring financial incentives to lure energy companies to the state.

Lawmakers knew the session could be a volatile one.

Over the past few weeks Democrats have argued the session is politically motivated and hinted they may adjourn without taking any action to spare taxpayers the $60,000-a-day expense.
