A judge has declined to let a Northern Kentucky bus driver, who was high on drugs during a January bus accident, withdraw her guilty plea.
Twenty-nine-year-old Angelynna Young made the request shortly before she was to be sentenced in Grant County Circuit Court. The judge turned down the request.
Young pleaded guilty to a dozen charges including obtaining a controlled substance by fraud, possession of a controlled substance, assault and wanton endangerment.
Young was sentenced to 22 years and is eligible for parole in a little more than 10 years.
