The nation's capital is pretty well still shut down after a weekend blizzard that buried the city and suburbs in more than two feet of snow.
Planes are grounded, trains are out of service and buses aren't rolling in the Mid-Atlantic region. Stranded travelers are wondering when they'll be able to escape the effects of the "historic" snowstorm.
Hundreds of thousands of homes are still without power and with temperatures below freezing utilities are warning it could be days before electricity is restored to everyone.
For many in the Washington, D.C.-area, Monday will be another day to dig out. Federal agencies will be closed, and many school districts are giving students a snow day. For stranded out-of-towners and workers trapped in local hotels, the thought of extending the weekend by a day isn't much to smile about.
Making matters worse, the weather service has issued a storm watch for the Washington area Tuesday, saying there was potential for another 5 inches or more of snow.
