Commuters are going to have to deal with slick driving conditions.

A concern for some might be getting stranded and what to do if the situation arises.

The first thing to remember is to stay in your vehicle. Make sure to wrap your entire body including your head with extra clothing, blankets or newspaper.

It's important to keep yourself awake. You will be less vulnerable to cold-related health problems. Also, as you sit, keep your arms and legs moving to improve your circulation to stay warmer.

Other tips include tying a brightly colored cloth to your antenna to signal rescuers and to move anything you need from your trunk to the passenger area.
