After what some are calling south-central Kentucky's "Deadliest Weekend" on the roadways, with nine fatalities in four separate wrecks, area law enforcement are already making their plans to monitor the roadways for the Fourth of July.
The holiday weekend starts at 6 p.m. July 3 and runs until midnight on July 5.
Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement will have every single officer out on duty during that long weekend. They'll be watching for speeding, seat belts and child restraints, and driving under the influence.
They are also asking for your eyes and ears on the roadways. If you see anyone driving drunk, please call Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement at 1-800-928-2402.
