A Munfordville, Ky., man is indicted in the death of a Hart County woman whose body was found Christmas day 2006.
Forty-five-year-old James Hodges was the only suspect in the case.
On Christmas day the sheriff’s department found the body of 25-year-old Brandy Waffird in a wooded area, off Rowletts Cave Springs Road.
Hodges was originally charged with first degree sodomy. According to a warrant for Hodges’ arrest on December 22, 2006, he forcibly engaged in sexual intercourse with Waffird.
Now the Hart County Grand Jury has added two additional charges of murder and tampering with physical evidence against Hodges.
He remains lodged in the Hart County Jail on a $1 million cash bond.
