Democrats Use Ads to Pressure McConnell

The Democratic party is using television ads in an effort to get the public to pressure Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell to stop supporting President Bush's Iraq policies.

The ads tell Kentuckians to contact McConnell and urge him to support a Democratic plan to withdraw troops from Iraq. McConnell declined to comment on the ad.

The Ky. Senator is seeking re-election next year, but so far has no Democratic opponent. The ad is running on TV stations in Louisville, Cincinnati, Lexington, Evansville and stations in Charleston and Huntington W.V.
