The Transportation Department met to consider ways of improving school bus safety. They said the changes could include higher seat backs in school buses and seat belts on buses.
About five children are killed on school buses every year making it the safest form of transportation.
Safety is being discussed again after four high school students were killed in Huntsville, Ala., last November 2006, when a school bus went off an interstate overpass.
